ANALISIS DAYA DUKUNG MASYARAKAT DALAM PENINGKATAN PARIWISATA DI PROVINSI SULAWESI UTARA (STUDI PADA WILAYAH MINAHASA, MITRA, DAN BOLTIM)

Provinsi Sulawesi Utara memiliki potensi yang sangat besar pada sektor pariwisata dengan produk wisata utama yaitu destinasi bahari (marine tourism). Pengembangan pariwisata di provinsi Sulawesi utara dalam pengelolaannya masih kurang memaksimalkan daya dukung masyarakat. Masyarakat yang berada di wilayah pengembangan harus didorong untuk mengidentifikasi tujuannya sendiri dan mengarahkan pembangunan pariwisata untuk meningkatkan pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat lokal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis sejauhmana daya dukung masyarakat berhasil meningkatkan pariwisata provinsi Sulawesi utara khususnya di wilayah yang memiliki pesona pantai, yaitu; Kabupaten Minahasa, Kabupaten Minahasa utara, Kabupaten Minahasa tenggara, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Timur melalui indikator partisipasi masyarakat dalam peningkatan pariwisata di Provinsi Sulawesi utara. Melalui kajian ini diharapkan mampu merangkul semua pemangku kepentingan agar dapat berperan strategis dalam meningkatkan pariwisata provinsi Sulawesi utara khususnya wisata bahari.
