Abstract

Perilaku caring mengacu pada tindakan perawat yang berkaitan dengan fisik, mental, kesejahteraan dan kenyamanan pasien. Kecerdasan moral merupakan salah satu dimensi dari kecerdasan yang dapat memberikan kerangka kerja untuk berperilaku. Perawat dengan kecerdasan moral yang tinggi mempunyai karakteristik  kejujuran, akuntabilitas, dan komitmen untuk memberikan perawatan terbaik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan moral dengan perilaku caring perawat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling, sebanyak 45 perawat. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner Caring Behavior Assesment Tool dan kuesioner Moral Competency Inventory Measurement Instrument. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji statistik spearman rank. Kecerdasan moral perawat sebagian besar tinggi (86,7%). Perilaku caring responden mayoritas baik (95,6%). Adanya hubungan positif antara kecerdasan moral dengan perilaku caring sehingga dengan meningkatkan kecerdasan moral, perilaku caring perawat meningkat (r=0,42 p value=0,006). Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan moral yang tinggi mengarah pada perilaku profesional yang lebih baik perawat.
