PENATALAKSANAAN FISIOTERAPI PADA KASUS CERVICAL ROOT SYNDROME (Case Report)

Abstract

Cervical root syndrome (CRS) adalah suatu kondisi yang disebabkan oleh iritasi atau kompresi radikulopati cervical yang disebabkan oleh tonjolan diskus intervertebralis dengan hilangnya sensorik atau motorik. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui manfaat dari pemberian Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), Myofascial Release, Stretching, Cervical Traction dan Upper Neural Mobilization pada kasus Cervical Root Syndrome (CRS). Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) untuk mengukur nyeri, goniometer untuk mengukur Range of Motion (ROM) dan Neck Disability Index (NDI) yangdigumnakan untuk mengukur aktivitas fungsional. Penelitian dilakukan di Klinik Sumarsono Klaten yang dilakukan pada seorang pasien dengan diagnosa Cervical Roots Syndrome (CRS). Hasil akhir dari penelitian tersebut terdapat penurunan nyeri gerak maupun nyeri tekan pada Upper Trapezius Muscle, peningkatan range of motion (ROM), penurunan spasme otot dan juga peningkatan kemampuan aktivitas fungsional yang diukur menggunakan NDI.
