PENGARUH PRENATAL YOGA TERHADAP PENURUNAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN PADA IBU HAMIL PRIMIGRAVIDA

Latar belakang :Terjadi banyak perubahan pada wanita yang sedang hamil seperti perubahan pada fisik dan psikis. Stres dan cemas merupakan hal wajar yang dialami oleh ibu hamil, apalagi ibu hamil dengan kehamilan pertama (primigravida). Akan tetapi, stres dan cemas tidak baik jika berlangsung terusmenerus. Kecemasan kehamilan paling sering terjadi karena perubuhan hormon dan pikiran menjelang persalinan. Bila hal tersebut tidak dikelola dengan baik maka dapat berpengaruh pada kesehatan janin. Kecemasan dan atau gejala terkait lainnya yang menyertai kehamilan dapat dikelola dengan bantuan berupa latihan fisik. Pemberian prenatal yoga pada ibu hamil dapat menekan produksi hormon kortisol dan meningkatkan produksi hormon endorphin sehingga kecemasan dapat menurun. Selain itu, prenatal yoga juga dapat meningkatkan fleksibiltas dan kekuatan otot, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh prenatal yoga terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan pada ibu hamil primigravida. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan menggunakan one grup pre dan post test design. Pengambilan sample dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sample sebanyak 10 orang. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil uji dengan menggunakan paired sample t-test didapatkan nilai penurunan tingkat kecemasan p value 0.000. Kesimpulan: Prenatal yoga berpengaruh terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan ibu hamil primigravida.
