Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan positif antara pet attachment pada psychological well-being pemilik kucing dan anjing di kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif tipe korelasional. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Lexington Attachment to Pet Scale (LAPS)  untuk mengukur tingkat kelekatan hewan dan Ryff Psychological Well Being Scale (RPWBS) untuk mengukur tingkat psychological well-being. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan 82 orang berusia 20-50 tahun yang telah memelihara kucing atau anjing selama minimal 1 tahun. Hasil dari korelasi product moment yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan nilai koefisien antara kelekatan pada hewan peliharaan dengan psychological well-being dengan nilai r sebesar 0,420 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,003 (p < 0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara pet atttachment dan psychological well-being pemilik kucing dan anjing di kota Semarang.
